This will inevitably lead to extreme weather, heatwaves, forest fires, floods, rise in sea levels and cause irreversible detrimental effects on people, animals and the environment.
Even countries under the sea level or on the equator could be uninhabitable. Stabilising the climate will require strong, rapid, and sustained reductions in greenhouse gas emissions, and reaching net-zero CO2 emissions.
